Join textile artist in residence Anne Kelly on a very special visit to India. We will be visiting the gardens of Jaipur and working from their rich heritage, using a variety of techniques including block printing, collage and appliqué to create a unique and meaningful small wall hanging. The piece will be made all the more special by you using, collecting and making your own fabrics from the exciting surroundings you will be visiting.

Highlights of the Tour:

10 hours embroidery workshop with Anne to make a small wall hanging
6 different types of Block printing workshops – Single block/ Dabu/ Indigo/ Metallic/ double block printing
1 Blue pottery workshop
a beautiful day with Elephants
Famous landmarks of Jaipur
Cooking demonstration followed by Lunch with local Indian family
Explore the colourful/ bright gardens of Jaipur
Visit to flower market & textile museum
Visit to the tailors where you can have some clothes made
