NILS gives loans to people on low incomes to purchase essential household items. An essential household item is a service or item that improves the quality of life or enhances social and economic participation for a person who would otherwise not be able to access via fair and equitable means.
Loan applications are considered for:
o household whitegoods and appliances
o household furniture
o educations costs
o medical equipment
o car repairs
How we include the volunteers:
We include volunteers to take clients interviews, enter data and to be a member of Loan assessment committee.
