Pet's Haven Animal Shelter

Pets Haven Pro Life Animal Shelter is a facility that re-homes orphan cats, kittens and dogs and puppies who would otherwise have no future.

We do not euthanise animals for economic reasons. The only time an animal will be euthanised is in the case of aggressive temperament (with no hope for rehabilitation) or the animal is extremely unwell and the prognosis is not favourable.

Animals are rescued from death row pounds, puppy farms and the community. Animals who do not require rehabilitation are kept at our shelter whilst waiting to be adopted into a new homes. Animals which require rehabilitation are placed into approved foster homes, with all medical and like expenses paid by Pets Haven. Once the animal has recovered, the animal is also placed up for adoption.

All animals in our care are vet checked, desexed, vaccinated, microchipped, wormed and scanned for ringworm. Every animal is temperament tested prior to arrival at the shelter. The staff and volunteers then spend time getting to know each animal so that they can help prospective adopters make an educated decision on whether the animal they are interested in is suitable for them. If a Pets Haven staff member does not think an adoption is appropriate, the adoption will not proceed. The correct environment, home, lifestyle and family for our animals are our greatest concerns. Our animals have already gone through enough pain and uncertainty, they need homes that will last a lifetime.

We also take in unwell animals and cruelty cases and we provide the required veterinary treatment and after care. The animals that come to us mistreated, malnourished, abused or neglected often require extensive medical treatment and we always provide what they require to recover. Foster carers help immensely as they provide a wonderful, safe, loving home environment where the rehabilitation process can occur.

Thank you for visiting our Facebook page, we hope we are able to help you find your perfect furkid. After adopting we can also help you get through any rough spots by offering training tips and other advice.

How we are different; Pets Haven Foundation is a Pro Life Animal Shelter, therefore your animals will always be safe within our environment.

Not many people know, that virtually all animal shelters act as Pounds as well as Shelters. This means that there will always be a requirement for these Shelters to euthanise healthy animals or animals that may require rehabilitation, so they can make room for incoming stray animals; Pets Haven would never compromise our ethics and belief to give all animals a second chance.

Pets Havens mission is to responsibly save and rehabilitate all animals. Sadly, many animals are put to sleep for no reason; this is why it is very important for everyone to research who they support and where their bequest and donation money actually goes.

We all need to respect both 'Human and Fur"
